White fillings can appear miraculous even in the most challenged of clinical situations, as they can be attached to the tooth far more strongly than a metal filling, and can look excellent.
In many cases, teeth which are badly broken down can have issues with the nerve/pulp , and it is unwise to crown these teeth.
A well done white filling can function well, be much better financially, and allow monitoring of the pulp/nerve.
